High-Pigment Water-Based Ink For Corrugated Box

High-concentration water-based corrugated cardboard inks are primarily designed for flexographic printing, but can also be used in gravure printing and digital inkjet printing on specific equipment.

Flexographic Applications: Suitable for various precision requirements with anilox roller line counts of 40-1000 lines/inch, handling everything from simple line patterns to fine dot printing.

Gravure Applications: Suitable for high-volume, high-precision packaging printing needs.

Digital Inkjet: Some high-end water-based pigment inks can be used in digital printing equipment equipped with piezoelectric printheads for contactless printing.

How long does it take for high-concentration water-based inks to dry on corrugated cardboard? How can they be adapted to high-speed production lines?

In a normal workshop temperature (20-25℃) with a hot air or infrared drying system, the drying time is approximately 10-15 minutes. In actual production, the following methods can be used to adapt to high-speed printing:

Adjust the proportion of co-solvent in the formula: Suppliers can provide "fast-drying" or "standard" products to suit different printing speeds (e.g., 150-300 m/min);

Control ink layer thickness: High-concentration inks, due to their good hiding power, can reduce ink layer thickness, thereby indirectly shortening the drying time.

If the printing speed is extremely high (>300 m/min), it is recommended to work with the ink supplier to adjust the formula and select a dedicated fast-drying formula for high-speed printing machines.
